UST Angelicum College Welcomes AY 2018-2019

Last July 16, 2018, the facilitators, after their one-month vacation, started their regular reporting to school. This marks the opening of the Academic Year 2018-2019.

 

A Holy Mass concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Rudolf Steven Seno, O.P., Rev. Fr. Noel Castor, O.P., and Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Bautista, O.P. welcomed the UST Angelicum College community. It was followed by a short program, which started with the welcome message and the setting of the school directions and priority projects by Dr. Rosanni del Mundo, the Director for Academic Affairs. The three priority projects include the PAASCU visit set on October 24-25, 2016, blended instruction through ARALINKS, and the assessment-based curriculum and instruction enhancement from the results of two sets of GRACE diagnostic tests.  

The new and old members of the community were also presented by the respective Department Heads, and were welcomed by Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Bautista, O.P., the school’s Pro-Vice-Rector.

On July 17-19, the facilitators underwent ARALINKS orientation and hands-on training. On July 19, 2018, the orientation for new employees was done by the Human Resource Office staff led by Ms. Pearliza Domalaon, the HR Head. The following day. July 20, the HR spearheaded the wellness orientation and activities for the employees.

On July 21 and July 23, 2018, the orientation for the Senior High School parents and students and for the Basic Education – Higher and Lower Levels was held, respectively. On July 24, the facilitators started to prepare their learning stations, simultaneous with the employees’ immunization, spearheaded by the Health Services staff.

The 3-day institutional employees’ retreat organized by the Office of Religious Affairs was held   in Sta. Catalina Spirituality Center in Baguio City from July 25-26, 2018, and which was concluded by the concelebrated mass at the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag in Pangasinan on July 27, 2018.

On July 30-31, 2018, all facilitators attended the in-service seminar-workshop on 21st century classroom management sponsored by the Phoenix Publishing House. The invited speaker was Mrs. Gloria Luna-Cruz.

The first day of classes for AY 2018-2019 started on August 1, 2018.
