One of the major concerns that most parents have to deal with nowadays is balancing work and family life, since most parents are working and would usually come home late from work to attend to the needs of their children. Life for working parents is armed with a juggling act of blending work and family life to create a cycle that works for their profession and families.
The need to balance work and family life among parents was what prompted the Office of the Team Principal to come up with the seminar on ‘Balancing Work and Family Life’ with the goal of creating opportunities for parents to reflect on their role, especially when they are caught up between work and family life, and to give them some insights, and strategies perhaps, on how to strike a balance between their responsibilities at work, and their commitment to the families. The event took place during this academic year’s first Parent-Facilitator Conference for PK 2 to YS 11 learners.
Congresswoman Marisol Aragones Sampelo, who served as resource speaker during the seminar, proved her expertise not only as a parent who creates a balance between her role in Congress and at home, but as a media personality as well. The whole seminar also paved the way for the sharing of experiences among parents who generously shared their insights about the topic.
