About TVET
The Technical Vocational Education and Training programs of UST Angelicum College are within the scope of the Higher Education Department. It is intended that the skills, education, and training of a regular government-mandated TVET program will be enhanced with entrepreneurship, values, and foreign language education when taken at UST Angelicum College. UST Angelicum College’s TVET program aims to provide the theory and concept grounding, and the experiential learning that will prepare students for an entrepreneurial start-up or skills-based employment in the future.

316 hoursThe Cookery NC II Qualification (316 hours) consists of competencies that a person must achieve to clean kitchen areas, prepare hot and cold meals, and desserts for guests in various food and beverage service facilities.
This Qualification is packaged from the competency map of the Tourism Sector (Hotel and Restaurant) shown in the Training Regulations of the Cookery NC II.
To attain the National Qualification of Cookery NC II, the candidate must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency and be awarded a National Certificate signed by the TESDA Director General.

To attain the National Qualification of Housekeeping NC II, the candidate must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency and be awarded a National Certificate signed by the TESDA Director General.
A person who has achieved this Qualification is competent to be:
- Provide housekeeping services to guests
- Clean and prepare rooms for incoming guests
- Provide valet/butler service
- Laundry, linen, and guest clothes
- Clean public areas, facilities, and equipment
- Deal with/handle intoxicated guests
Assessment Center
UST Angelicum College marked a significant chapter in its TVET journey when it was accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) as an official Assessment Center for technical-vocational courses.
A team from TESDA Quezon City visited the college's TVET department to conduct a thorough evaluation.
The college proudly received its Certificate of Accreditation, formally recognizing its capacity to assess learners in five key qualifications: Bread and Pastry Production NC II, Cookery NC II, Food and Beverage Services NC II, Housekeeping NC II, and Bartending NC II.
UST Angelicum College's TVET Assessment Center underwent a comprehensive TESDA audit guided by national competency procedures. The evaluation covered administrative requirements, facilities, assessment methods, and documentation protocols. The center was found compliant with TESDA standards, officially validating its capacity to deliver and implement assessments for Bread and Pastry Production NC II, Bartending NC II, Cookery NC II, Food and Beverage Services NC II, and Housekeeping NC II.
This milestone not only validated the institution's commitment to quality skills training but also positioned UST Angelicum College as a trusted hub where learners can earn nationally recognized certifications, strengthening their readiness for employment and industry excellence.
TESDA National Certification Assessment
Institutional assessment is undertaken by trainees to determine their achievement of units of competency, with certificates of achievement issued for each unit of competency. Graduates of programs registered with TESDA under these training regulations are required to undergo a mandatory national competency assessment upon completion of the program.
